Because beeswax takes much longer to produce, it is considerably more expensive (and much healthier for you) than paraffin wax. When you buy a candle, you may be tricked into paying more for one that is not 100% beeswax. Check to see if it says 100% beeswax because you can be fairly certain that if it doesn’t say it, it isn’t! It would appear that even by just having 10% beeswax, and surrounding it in paraffin, this can be classed as a beeswax candle which would not give you the beautiful smell, longlasting and clean burning properties and health benefits of burning the 100% natural beeswax candles.
